WHAT: A super sized SAGrown Crepe Myrtle vs. A mega super duper sized Favco Tower Crane
WHEN: LAST Friday 29th September 2017. 11am
WHERE: Bohem Apartments, 150 Wright st Adelaide (100m above ground)
Just imagine a 3m+ Crepe Myrtle soaring across the sky… well above the impressive Adelaide CBD skyline.
SAgrown (Heyne’s Wholesale Nursery) have been involved with the planning stages of Bohem, a multi-story inner city apartment complex by Starfish Developments. This project has been ticking all the ‘greenlife is good’ boxes. It will become the emerald in the crown for Adelaide’s urban jungle. Which in itself a very cool story;
Last Friday saw the extremely exciting, but somewhat peculiar happening of one of the largest trees of the project, a 3m+ Lagerstroemia Biloxi, lifted up and over all 22 stories of Bohem, well and truly cutting the city skyline, before touching down safely onto the 6th floor swim deck.
We’re told it was given the scenic route!
It was quite an even to witness – You can watch the actual journey here

Heyne’s SAGrown are very proud to be involved in this project and I believe that the SA community and horticultural industry will be very interested in the ongoing development of this urban skyline planting, the supply and installation of the green façade & terrace gardens of this contemporary and remarkable ‘greening our urban spaces’ project.
